Our daughter Rebecca died of a brain tumour in in 2007 after a brave and inspirational fight. I have written this as yet unpublished book primarily as therapy for me but I hope it will help other parents who find themselves in a similar position. I also hope it might help the Alexander Device Child Cancer Trust whose mission is to build a Children’s Hospice in Maidenhead.

A ‘must read’ for all parents of aspiring performers. An all encompassing, comprehensive, informative and intelligent guide. Brilliant!
- Sylvia Young
This book makes a splendid job of debunking many of the mysteries in what, for many parents and children, is a very strange, unknown world.
- The Stage
Evidently written from the heart - on what parents should and should not do… excellent!
